Tarkwa Bay is an artificial sheltered beach located near the Lagos harbour in Nigeria. Due to its island status, it is only accessible by boat or water taxis. The beach is beloved by surfers and other water sports enthusiasts, and it also has a friendly local population. There have been some worrying incidents at Tarkwa Bay over the years where guests have drowned due to insufficient equipments for lifeguards to aid their rescue.
We recently partnered with Godspower (surf legend) and the local surf community to deliver training programmes in order to better prepare for incidents around the beach. In support of our efforts, we created a capsule with equipments such as life jackets, rescue tubes, visor hats and whistles for the lifeguards as well as some t-shirts and surf shorts.

We also have plans to create life guard stands along the bay.

I love WAF

This is great, shoutout WAF. Beachgoers should be allowed to participate in the training too.
